First time experience with Airbnb is not bad. We knew at the outset that this is on the cheap side and the expectation was low. So it can be said that the place met our expectation. In terms of procedure, it is as easy as it can be. The rental fee had been prepaid and there was nothing that needs to be done at the time. In fact, Dennis arrived first and got the key and I did not even meet the hosts, not wanting to bother them unnecessarily.
We left early after our self-prepared breakfast at the Airbnb so we can have more time in Quebec City. So having a kitchen is definitely advantageous if you don't want to eat out every meal.
The drive was uneventful but we knew that we might have problem finding parking in downtown. After our scouted out parking area was reserved for an event, we set out for the underground parking at Marriott. After a wrong turn, we ended up in a dead end street with street parking available. Sometime, luck trumps planning.
We did not have a lot of time in Quebec City. We walked from the Plains of Abraham Museum, around the Citadel and on the boardwalk to Fairmont Le Chateau Frontenac. We managed a nice lunch at Polina Pizzeria on Rue St Louis. Waitress was fantastic serving all our needs including picking out foods for us.
Quebec City to Edmunston was also uneventful. Although we had three cars, we never travelled together in an envoy. Going on our own is just fine. Dennis found a truck stop seafood restaurant Le Pirate using Google Map. It was surprisingly good considering its truck stop/gas station setting. We had seafood platter, lobster roll, seafood chowder and more and they are all quite good.
